  • April 1st 7-8:30 VIRTUAL More Than Sad – Teen Depression: Teaches parents how to recognize signs of depression and other mental health problems, initiate a conversation about mental health with their child, and get help. Presented by the Virginia Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.    Register HERE

  • April 15th pm VIRTUAL Family Recovery Coaching: For loved ones affected by substance use disorder. Hosted by Katie Donovon, Professionally Trained & certified Family Recovery Coach and National Speaker. Open to the public.  You must register but you can join anonymously.

  • April 17th 8am IN-PERSON! Living the Dream’s 5K Run/Walk for Hope: Come out and run or walk in memory or support of those suffering from depression, substance abuse and suicide.  Music, speakers, quilt raffle, and local support organizations. With a $25 donation (registration fee) runners/walkers will receive a Living the Dream Foundation face mask, water and snacks. All funds will be used in the community to support programs to help those suffering from depression, substance abuse and thoughts of suicide.
    Location: Yowell Meadow Park in Culpeper, rain or shine

  • April 19th 6-7pm VIRTUAL REVIVE! Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education: Learn to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and administer life-saving naloxone. This training is FREE and participants will be able to pick up two FREE doses of Narcan from the RACS in Fredericksburg.

  • April 23rd 8:30-3:30 VIRTUAL CRI Community Resilience Initiative Trauma Supportive Training (Course 2):  This course covers the science of resiliency and shares promising strategies to build resilient individuals and communities. It is open to parents, teachers, medical professionals, mental health practitioners, and any community member interested in learning more about toxic stress and how individuals and communities can build resiliency.

  • April 24th DEA’s Drug Take Back Day: Many elderly people accidentally overdose on opioids each year, and all too frequently babies and children digest opioids left within reach. You can help by safely disposing of any unused medications by dropping them off at collection sites. More info soon.
  • April 28th 7-8pm VIRTUAL Talk Saves Lives Suicide Prevention:  Participants will learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide, and how to keep themselves and others safe.  Presented by: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention-Virginia.
