LOCAL Grief Organizations
- Compassionate Friends is a mutual-support organization for bereaved parents of children who have died from any cause and at any age. Locally, meetings are held in Fredericksburg and Charlottesville.
- Spiritual Care Support Ministries provides free counseling services and grief support groups in Culpeper and Fauquier county. They also provide support through Skype, FaceTime, and phone to anyone who does not live locally or is physically unable to get to the center.

- The Herren Project holds virtual addiction grief support groups for individuals grieving the loss of a loved one to drug addiction, alcoholism, or a drug overdose. The groups are open to parents who’ve lost a child, children who’ve lost a parent, siblings, spouses and friends.

- Virginia Team Sharing – a private peer led support group for parents who’ve lost a child to substance use. Daily encouragement, recognition of our children’s birthdays, angelversaries, and mutual support.
- Team Sharing – Siblings – a national private peer-led group offering support for the siblings of someone who has died from substance use. This is a safe place to share, to grow, and to bond with others who are missing their sibling.
- Sibling Support for Overdose – a national private peer-led group bringing comfort to others and ourselves.
